Healthcare Integration Therapist

As a Healthcare Integration Therapist, you’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate, positive impact by providing behavioral health counseling services to children, teens, and families delivered in designated Akron Children's Hospital pediatric physician offices in Hudson, Twinsburg and East Akron. Services include individual, group and family counseling and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and case management services to clients referred by a pediatrician, delivered in the doctor’s office.
• Conduct mental health assessments and evaluations to establish appropriate treatment goals and objectives for clients.
• Collaborate with clients to implement treatment plans.
• Create progress notes in the electronic health record per current standards for content and timeliness.
• Coordinate with pediatricians to provide integrated care.
• Provide a welcoming atmosphere of trust, acceptance and hope for all clients, including respect for cultural beliefs and values.

Required Qualifications:

• LPC, LISW or LPCC licensure required.
• Experience providing therapy to children and families preferred.
• Ability to work independently and to collaborate with a team
• Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of effective behavioral intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
