Job Description

Fast-growing 3PL in Las Vegas seeks highly-experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day B2B and DTC warehousing, distribution and fulfillment operations at our 200,000sf facility. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the 50+ operational staff, facility and equipment and all inbound, outbound and internal management of customer inventory and orders – while fostering a culture of teamwork, efficiency and safety.

Successful candidates will have significant operations supervisorial experience; strong leadership, mentoring and motivational skills; a background in 5S and quality principles; and a drive for reducing errors, improving operations, and leading by example. This position reports to the General Manager or designee.

Core duties for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Daily management and supervision of Las Vegas operational and quality staff to ensure customer products are stored and shipped out in an efficient, accurate and safe manner meeting/exceeding customer expectations and SLAs;

  • Provide leadership to operational team to implement procedures and equipment/process investments/staffing to ensure at least 99% accuracy in inventory, order accuracy, and on-time shipping;

  • KPI’s, time management of staff and scheduling management.

  • Develop procedures and recommend facility layouts and equipment to improve efficiencies and reduce costs while implementing 5S or similar quality culture among Operations Team;

  • Daily/ongoing coordination with Customer Service Team to meet customer inventory handling and storage requirements; and with HR Team to plan staffing and motivate, improve and retain a high quality, efficient workforce;

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policies, certifications, rules and regulations, including all applicable OSHA and state workplace safety regulations/standards, and related documentation;

  • Responsible for security of the warehouse facility, Safety Committee, goods and equipment maintenance, as well as identifying and implementing appropriate training and certification needs of key staff;

  • Other activities and tasks as requested by company management.

Experience & Skills:

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible positions in warehousing, ecommerce fulfillment and/or 3PL operations , including at least 5+ years as an Operations Supervisor or equivalent overseeing an operation with 100,000sf and 40+ FTEs or more;

  • Excellent leadership, mentorship and communications skills, with ability to motivate workers and promote a strong company culture of quality;

  • Preference (but not a requirement) for candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain management or a related field;

  • Deep logistics operational knowledge, strong understanding of Lean/5S management techniques, and passion for warehouse productivity;

  • High proficiency in MSOffice (Word, Excel, Outlook), warehouse technology, and extensive WMS experience;

  • Advanced organization and problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritize, delegate, and produce results;

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English, with Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred, but not required;

  • Ability to work long hours, and walk or stand for extended periods of time in an ambient temperature facility.
