Job Description

Certified Medical Assistant needed to fill a telephone triage position. In this position you will work alongside providers and nurses to provide direct patient care. As part of this role you will be responsible for gathering information to assess the severity of the patient’s condition. This information will give you the needed tools to categorize the patients needs and get immediate assistance for the most urgent.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience
Active Certification
Experience working with EMR software, EPIC experience is a plus
Proven track record of dependability and punctuality
Willingness to cross train

Job Responsibilities:

Answer phone and gather information on chief complaint, medical history and current symptoms
Based on this info assess the severity of the patient’s condition
Prioritize patient’s level or urgency
Depending on the severity refer the patient of get immediate assistance.
