The Opportunity

As a Director of Strategic Growth within Amazon Health's Strategic Growth Initiatives team, you will be instrumental in driving strategic growth initiatives, operational excellence, and corporate development efforts. You will leverage your expertise in healthcare operations, strategy, and technology leading cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing Amazon Health's healthcare offerings and expanding its footprint in the industry.

With a passion for collaboration you will build solid relationships with team members; you will foster a productive teamwork environment, lead teams to generate a vision, leverage diverse views, and help develop and grow team members throughout the course of every engagement.

What you'll likely work on:

  • Strategic Growth Initiatives:
    • Lead the identification, prioritization, and execution of strategic growth initiatives within Amazon Health, aligning with the company's overall healthcare strategy and market opportunities.
    • Develop business cases and strategic plans for new healthcare service offerings, market expansions, and customer acquisition strategies, leveraging data-driven insights and customer feedback.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Amazon Health and the broader Amazon ecosystem to drive innovation and deliver exceptional value to customers.
  • Program Management:
    • Serve as the primary program manager for key strategic initiatives and corporate development projects, overseeing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation and achievement of objectives.
    • Establish project governance structures and communication protocols to facilitate collaboration and alignment across cross-functional teams, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    • Monitor project risks, dependencies, and milestones, proactively identifying and mitigating potential obstacles to project success and driving continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, business partners, and industry stakeholders, to gain alignment and support for strategic initiatives and corporate development efforts.
    • Build strong relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to drive collaboration and innovation, leveraging their expertise and insights to inform decision-making and drive results.
    • Communicate project updates, milestones, and achievements effectively to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with Amazon Health's strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Corporate Development:
    • Support corporate development efforts within Amazon Health by conducting market analyses, business plan creation, financial modeling, and due diligence assessments.
    • Identify strategic opportunities for Amazon Health to expand its healthcare portfolio and capabilities, including partnerships with healthcare providers, technology vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Drive operational excellence initiatives within Amazon Health, focusing on process optimization, resource utilization, and customer experience improvement.
    • Implement performance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and operational improvements, leveraging data analytics and customer feedback to drive informed decision-making.
    • Develop scalable solutions and best practices to streamline operations and enhance efficiency, ensuring Amazon Health's ability to deliver high-quality healthcare services at scale.

What you'll need:

  • 12+ years experience in corporate development, leading enterprise wide change management, and enterprise program management.
  • Background in Big 4 consulting (or similar) and technology required and healthcare preferred
  • Modeling proficiency to support business model creation and forecasting.
  • Understands key business drivers and ensures alignment to strategy and business/financial goals of the company as integration plans are built
  • Possesses a strong understanding of end to end processes and is able to lead cross-functionally and collaboratively to achieve the right outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Builds solid collaborative relationships, both internally and externally and interacts effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution and change management. Demonstrates the ability to influence others, win support on critical issues and reach consensus when appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive decision making at senior leadership levels of the organization and across stakeholders groups
  • Strong Problem Solving - Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; Looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers
  • Takes initiative and makes independent decisions

One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $123,000 to $219,000 per year. However, actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate. These factors include, but are not limited to, job related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees, and specific work location. The total compensation package for certain roles may also include additional components such as a sign-on bonus, equity grants in the form of RSUs, medical and other benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
