Job Description

GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT - Commercial Roofing - FLORIDA

Primary Duties/Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety compliance and correct specifications are being met

• Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures to determine the best way for installation of the roofing systems

• Must be able to identify potential problems before they arise and determine as well as implement effective solutions to those potential problems

• Must ensure that all materials, equipment, and tools are order, delivered, accounted for at each project

• Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule associates

• Effectively communicate with associates, management, vendors, and clients

• Complete daily and weekly reports; update management on project progress and issues

• Successfully recruit, process, train, and supervise crews

• Develops a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project

• Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate

• Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to management; makes recommendations for necessary modifications

Required Skills/Competencies

•Must have knowledge and experience with multiple roofing systems (Shingle, Metal, Tile, and TPO roofing systems)•Good verbal and written communication skills• Excellent Organizational Skills, detailed-oriented, self-motivator, and can follow orders• Computer and Digital Camera skills required (Microsoft Word and Excel skills is a plus)•Must speak English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus)•Must met our driver eligibility requirements (Motor Vehicle Driving Record Report will be processed)•Ability to work under pressure.

Education and Experience

•High school diploma, GED or equivalent

•At least 2-3 years of experience in building/roofing trade required

•OSHA 10 Hour, and Equipment Certifications as required must be obtained within first60 days of employment

•First Aid/CPR Certification is a plus; may be required to obtain certification
