Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all financial activities and personnel
• Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments
• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
• Conduct internal audits to assess financial status
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors
• Manage outsourced functions
• Oversee the daily operations of the finance department, including management of the finance team members
• Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures
• Performs inventory cost controlling
• Ensure that accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, maintenance of general ledger
• Issue timely and complete financial statements
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
• Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain 5S in work area
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting
• 6+ years Quickbooks
• 5+ years of experience at the Controller level in a manufacturing environment required
• Previous experience in accounting management or other related fields
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Work Environment:

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.
