Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Work with the Director of Facilities Maintenance to perform the general maintenance and upkeep of all Credit Union properties including: preventative maintenance of facility; cleaning and maintenance of all facilities; general property maintenance including lawn and landscape care; and projects with relation to premise construction changes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs minor repairs and maintenance of all buildings, credit union property and equipment.
  • Ensure commissioned work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies.
  • Assist with essential central services such as maintenance, cleaning, mowing, waste disposal, recycling, and general maintenance.
  • Assist with the record of requests, response times, repair times, and general repair costs (manpower and third party).
  • Assist with preventive maintenance of facility equipment including HVAC equipment, premise alarm, video surveillance and access control equipment.
  • Assist with centrally controlled building environmental controls.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all federal laws and regulations as set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Back-up courier duties as necessary.

  • Support and participate in credit union sponsored activities.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Requires completion of high school education.
  • Requires intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure maintenance, upkeep, and safety standards are maintained or efficiencies are discovered.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while carrying out maintenance functions.
  • Must maintain a valid, unexpired Pennsylvania driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work outside (if necessary) in inclement weather.
  • Requires well-developed interpersonal skills for communicating with credit union staff members, vendors and membership.
  • Must maintain a highly motivated and positive work attitude.
