Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

ProIndustrial is a Salt Lake City-based industrial contractor seeking an experienced CWI with a minimum of 3+ years of experience working in a refinery.

Overview:

ProIndustrial is an industrial construction company located in Utah performing services in the Intermountain West area. We are actively seeking a QA/QC specialist to work on ongoing projects in the Salt Lake Valley.

Qualifications:

· Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)

· 3+ years of refinery experience preferred.

· Competent in reading and interpreting structural and mechanical drawings and weld symbols.

· Competent in preparing and evaluating WPS, PQR, WPQ.

· Familiarity with API 1104, ASME 31.3, 31.1, ACI and AISC

· R stamp familiarity preferred.

· Previously certified and currently certifiable to NDE Level II for visual.

· Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions, and give feedback when things are unclear.

· Must be able to work under tight timelines and high scrutiny.

· Must be adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.

· Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities:

· Perform visual, and dimensional inspections.

· Generate inspection reports and piping turnover packages.

· Communicate effectively with all trades, engineers, and client owners.

· Ensuring that a procedure is available, has been approved, and is being employed in production.

· Verifying that adequate and valid welder approvals are available and that only approved welders are used in production.

· Verifying parent material against documentation and markings.

· Provide quality control inspections of rebar and concrete pours.

· Provide quality control inspections for structural steel welding and bolting.
