Role: Field Service Technician - Lighting Controls

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for people who value having a job with a sense of purpose, traveling, and appreciate the high standards/expectations of our company and work. We want people who think critically, communicate effectively, and will engage with a project to completion. You will be traveling regionally and nationally doing programming, troubleshooting, and client training of systems. This job is 100% travel from your home. A special agreement can be discussed if you do not desire national travel. Must live, or be willing to relocate to, within 30 miles of a major airport.

Core Responsibilities and Role:

As a field service technician, you are responsible for:

· Traveling.

· Meeting with Electricians, Designers, End Users, General Contractors, and others.

· Hands-on troubleshooting.

· Ensuring systems are installed correctly (sensors & equipment are calibrated and wired properly).

· Addressing and solving problems with confidence.

· Field programming & testing.

· Documenting all work done on site.

· Manage work orders and reporting for each job in a timely manner.

· Submit time sheets and documentation for work orders after completion of jobs weekly.

· Working Independently.

Qualifications needed:

· Able to Self-manage time and workload.

· Willingness to learn.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to think clearly and logically through complex situations.

· Comfortable adapting to same-day and next-day changes to project scope and location.

· Comfortable being on active construction sites, using ladders up to 12ft and lifts (training provided) up to 25ft, carrying up to 20lbs of equipment.

· Able to work with other people and direct them on how to fix issues.

· Must own or have regular use of a car for up to 5 days at a time.

· Must be authorized to work in the US for US positions.

· Must pass a background check.

· Must be proficient with using a computer, no coding experience necessary.

· Appreciated but not necessary: Electrical or technical field background. No construction experience necessary.
