Job Description

SUMMARY

Our client specializes in the Transportation/Trucking/Rail logistics, heavy haul,

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Develop new business for the company through approaching new business customers worldwide.

· Develop a new business prospect listing to ensure that future new business development is planned in advance.

· Responsible for the management and handling of the RFQ response documents/quotes coming to the company.

· Maintain all account and new business approaches and outcomes in CRM.

· Generate and distribute specific reports as required.

· Focus on winning and keeping profitable business.

· Maintain and manage the financial forecast and cost module projections for project budgets

· Work with logistics engineers in development of rail clearances.

· Undertake cross selling and up selling to further develop account potential through sea freight, road freight, rail freight, value added products (i.e., insurance) and project logistics.

· Represents the company and its policies to the clients which are defined as “Strategic Accounts”.

· Develop SOPs for strategic accounts.

· Undertake sales presentations to customers. Travel Required

· Provide operational support on specific projects

· Update and support operations for project budget for awarded projects.

· Responsible for communicating updates, progress, and issues to executive leadership team.

· Provide support to grow the company withing market segments

· Other duties may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the employee.

 

REQUIREMENTS

· Bacherlor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

· Strong negotiation and presentation skills

· Transportation and Logistics industry experience is highly preferred

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Demonstrated ability and work history managing and developing new accounts

· Ability to be on call, receive calls from clients, carriers, prospects and sales associates 24/7.

· Minimum of 40 hours per week- Full Time. Travel is required for this position and employee
