Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $30 to $40 hourly, based on experience.

Summary: Rolloff truck repair, PM Services, Hydraulic crane, Dozer, Compactor, tractor, engine, axle, brake, welding, and other heavy equipment/truck repairs are required. Duties include identifying problems, performing inspections, doing maintenance work, ordering and replacing parts, running computerized tests, and documentation of work performed.

Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Follow a checklist of inspection procedures
• Repair and maintain company owned equipment
• Perform preventative and emergency maintenance
• Inspect equipment for damage or failures, perform diagnostics and repair service for equipment component failures
• Remove and replace damaged or defective components, and operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts and service trucks
• Basic Welding
• Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components.
• Write and complete service reports.
• Participate in company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• All work performed must be done in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs
• This position is for 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift Mon thru Friday.
• Possess personal tools to conduct all repairs (Wrenches, sockets, impact tools, electrical diagnostic)
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
• Valid Driver’s License. CDL not required but willingness to obtain CDL if necessary
• Experience with maintaining heavy equipment in either the Construction or Transportation Industry
• Other duties as assign
• Must be willing to complete a drug screen, physical and background check

We have opportunities for both Day Shift and Night Shift:

·        The typical DAY shift is Monday-Saturday, 7am to 5pm

·        The typical NIGHT shift is Monday-Friday, 6pm-4am

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·        Frequent standing, walking, balancing while walking on elevated catwalks, bending, and grasping.

·        Occasional sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, lifting and the ability to lift more than 50lbs.
