Job Description
Position Summary:
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed material and labor estimates for cleaning, repairs, and fabrication of Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers. You will work closely with management, engineering and the customers to read and interpret requests for quotes (RFQ), technical specifications, ASME Code, and all requirements related to the job.
Responsibilities:
- Review Client requests/specifications for services to be provided
- Confer with Client for job requirements and scheduling
- Work closely with management to determine available resources for scheduling
- Perform preliminary mechanical designs using RCS
- Prepare labor and material take-off sheets from engineering drawings, data sheets, and/or measurements of existing equipment
- Work with purchasing obtaining competitive vendor pricing of raw materials and sub-contracted services
- Prepare technical proposals including estimated cleaning/repair/fabrication schedules
- Create Job Packages upon acceptance of order
- Prepare cost with schedule impact for Change Orders/EWA
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in Shell and Tube heat exchangers, or related field
- Must be detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
