About the job
We are hiring a Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd shift.
Job Duties
Job Duties
- Maintains and repairs all mechanical facilities and physical structures throughout the plant including pumps, boilers, air, water, reactor
- Uses hand and power tools in performing tasks
- Diagnoses problems, tears down, repairs and re-assembles intricate mechanisms and machines
- Installs, adjusts tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies various electrical/mechanical equipment, electrical controls, PLC's and instrumentation.
- Performs repairs on buildings, roofs, structures and furniture
- Assists technicians and performs other duties as assigned
- HS Diploma or GED required, additional education/certifications preferred
- Must be available for possible mandatory overtime and weekend work
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Must have work experience in the following areas and be able to take a test demonstrating proficiency:
- Arc welding
- Mig welding
- Tig welding
- Stick Welding
- PLCs
- Electric
- VFDs
- HVAC
- Pumps (air diaphragm, centrifugal, positive displacement, lobe, gear)
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Gearboxes
