Sanitation Technician

SANITATION TECHNICIAN
Shift: 6am – 3:30pm 8 hr days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
$16/hr. with 90 day wage review
The sanitation worker is a member of a cleaning crew whose duties are to clean and sanitize the food processing plant to meet food safety, and quality standards of Mayer Bros. as well as other regulatory bodies
· Disassemble & clean industrial processing equipment
· Visually inspect the equipment & processing areas for cleanliness
· Work with a team to clean & sanitize quickly and efficiently
· Complete paperwork that is legible and accurate.
· Mix and titrate chemicals to the proper specifications and usage requirements.
· Must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew and be flexible and willing to perform additional varying tasks per the supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all production and safety guidelines.
· Performing all duties in compliance with OSHA, state and/or local regulations. Company policies and procedures include: safety guidelines and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and must be adhered to.
· Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable. May clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, to include break rooms, rest rooms, offices, etc.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior Sanitation equipment cleaning in food/beverage industry preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements preferred
