Medicaid Biller

As a Medicaid Biller, your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely billing and reimbursement for services provided to clients covered by Medicaid. You will be responsible for understanding Medicaid billing regulations and guidelines, verifying client eligibility, and submitting claims to Medicaid or other relevant payers. Additionally, you will handle denials and appeals, track billing and payment records, and communicate with clients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Verify client eligibility for Medicaid coverage and other insurance plans.
2. Review client medical records and service documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness for billing purposes.
3. Prepare and submit claims to Medicaid and other insurance payers electronically or by mail according to billing requirements.
4. Monitor and track the status of submitted claims, including denials, rejections, and pending payments.
5. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, including coding errors, missing information, and claim rejections.
6. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by submitting appeals, resubmitting corrected claims, or coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
