Part-Time Research & Development Supervisor
$21.00-$25.00 per hour (DOE)

Monday-Friday, Shifts Vary 6:00am-8:00pm (25 hrs. weekly)
Columbus, Ohio (onsite)
What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising a team and overseeing their training and hiring processes
- Preparing and serving all samples and materials for panel training and profiling
- Being responsible for sourcing and managing the delivery of products for research, including creating an accurate inventory on arrival and storing it correctly
- Ensuring the Sensory Panel working area is prepared appropriately in good time for each session and cleared and cleaned after
- Follow, apply, and document appropriate protocols
- Ensuring that all activities comply with basic food hygiene standards to work safely within the kitchen - Basic food hygiene training will be provided
- Maintaining and developing kitchen laboratory Standard Operation Procedures by identifying information needs and problems; recommending improvements; establishing priorities; and training technicians
- Maintain sensory laboratory functionality by checking stock to determine needed supplies and products, placing orders, and verifying receipt of supplies and products
- Coordinating the execution of panels, including scheduling space and equipment on the calendar and ensuring all panel details are accurately managed
- Managing the setup for panels, ensuring equipment readiness
- Organizing internal panels by completing the necessary documentation, recruiting panelists, and programming ballots without errors
- Maintaining the panelist database, adding new employees, removing terminations, and ensuring panel groups are up-to-date
- Handling staffing requests, timesheet submissions, and contractor hiring and training under company procedures
- Supervising contractors and staff during panels to ensure adherence to best practices while performing other duties
- Communicating testing information to staff effectively and maintaining software programs during panels, troubleshooting any glitches
- Taking responsibility for end-of-panel maintenance, including closing out software programs and ensuring the cleanliness of sensory booths and kitchen areas
- Assisting in the execution of panels and supporting corporate functions, demos, and panel preparations as required
- Providing administrative support to the Sensory Team, including entering product information into documentation systems

- Can be on feet for hours at a time
- Can provide feedback to the team; correct team members when necessary
- Kitchen or restaurant experience
