Restaurant Manager


Interlachen Country Club is seeking a Restaurant Manager. This role is a key member of Interlachen's management team and assists with the operations of a la carte dining at the Club. They work closely with the Assistant General Manager, Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, and the Culinary Team. They supervise the restaurant (a la carte) dining experience across multi-outlets and oversee the service team.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

Leadership and Teamwork

  • Live our values; foster a positive work environment for your team.
  • Build a strong relationship with the culinary department; ensure ongoing collaboration and communication to exceed expectations.
  • Create a continuous teaching environment that focuses on genuine hospitality, timeliness, productivity, proper service, and Interlachen standards.
  • Understand each team member's position, support their growth and development, and perform duties in their absence.
  • Possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay on top of hospitality, beverage, and culinary trends; stay abreast of our membership's evolving needs and desires.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility and accessibility to the membership and team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Ensure that members and their guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences.
  • Formulate daily line-ups for each service with fellow food and beverage managers.
  • Complete regular opening and closing shifts; ensure the overall safety and preservation of the Club and prepare shift reports.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain processes to enhance the member and team experience.
  • Support the service team with set up, execution, and breakdown of daily member experiences in member dining outlets and banquet events.
  • Act as a "situational leader," monitoring the quality and pace of service on the floor and assisting where needed.
  • Conduct maintenance and upkeep of JONAS, our point of sale system.
  • Opportunities for Focus: Outlets ownership, beverage program, business management (scheduling, payroll, expense control), and recruiting.

  • Founders Café & Turn Bar - Casual golf-fare for before, during, and after a round
  • 1909 Cabana - Fast-casual, poolside dining
  • The Lodge - Casual family restaurant serving American classics, including brick-oven pizza, seasonal salads, and interesting sandwiches
  • The Fieldhouse - Coffee, smoothies, healthy grab-n-go anytime of the day (2023)

Ideal Qualifications and Attributes:

Education and Experience

  • Prior serving experience in an upscale dining environment, with a strong track record of progression and growth
  • General leadership experience

Availability

  • Hours vary throughout the year based on seasonality and business; on average, weeks fall between 40-50 hours
