Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to guide and mentor the maintenance personnel to improve maintenance safety, preventative maintenance procedures and repair efficiency to maximize company production goals. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Safety is your #1 job function. You are responsible for ensuring that all employees and anyone we interact with are not harmed by our action or inaction.  Ensure every employee understands their number one job duty is SAFETY.  Ensure they have the proper protective equipment and the proper training on all equipment/processes to perform their job duties. Understand and comply with the MSHA regulations. Enforce safety rules and regulations.

·         Minimize costs per ton: you are responsible for finding new ways to save on every aspect of production costs by identifying any maintenance issues and correcting them. 

·         Goals: Establish maintenance priorities and interact with operational personnel to coordinate maintenance activities with production requirements. 

·         Coaching/ Improve Team: Address issues through coaching and mentoring where improvements are required and hold personnel accountable in order to comply with all standards. Responsible for the necessary training to perform their jobs safely and effectively. Ensure personnel perform quality work and provide feedback to each worker on progress in meeting company expectations and goals. Proactively assess, monitor and recommend modifications to increase gold recovery efficiency, plant availability and decrease operational costs. 

·         Leadership: Lead your team to stay safe, make good profits and positively IMPACT people. Train and hold employees accountable for job responsibilities, IMPACTU and other company systems. Ensure your employees have the “job success support” (from performance review form) they need from you and the company. 

Other information:

·         Management Techniques: Provide information, goals and input for the improvement and development of short- and long-term maintenance and production planning and budgeting activities 

·         Problem Solver: Manage and investigate root cause analysis of issues and take appropriate action to correct the main source of the problem. Ensure corrective actions were successful and then develop measurements, inspections and monitoring programs to safeguard against recurrences. 

·         Build & maintain a Top-Graded team: continually build upon the excellence of your team by hiring, training, counseling, motivating and transitioning.

·         Detail Oriented: Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task and have the ability to pre-plan and streamline procedures. 

·         Follow and enforce all policies, laws and regulations: do the right things for the right reasons and ensure your team does the same.

·         Prevent discrimination: ensure that there is no harassment or unfair treatment based on sex, religion, race or other status.  Ensure that any issues in this area are reported to HR and the owner in writing immediately.

·         Other: Perform other general duties as assigned or delegated.  This position is considered safety sensitive.
