ABOUT MANNA

MANNA is a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia providing nutrition services to improve health for people with serious illnesses who need nourishment to heal. By providing medically tailored meals and nutrition education, we empower people to improve their health and quality of life.

SUMMARY: Drivers deliver pre-packaged meals to our clients across Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Drivers must properly maintain MANNA vehicles and monitor and maintain proper MANNA vehicle refrigeration temperatures to ensure food quality.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Drive assigned routes and deliver correct dietary modifications to clients in an accurate and timely fashion.
  1. Use WorkWave software and Google Maps on a work-provided smartphone to contact clients, route yourself to their location, and keep delivery records.
  2. Obey all traffic rules in accordance with PA and NJ driving laws.
  3. Follow proper food safety guidelines including food handling and refrigeration temperature.
  4. Maintain HIPAA compliancy regarding all client information.
• Provide excellent customer service and use problem solving skills when interacting with clients.
  1. Be empathetic to clients and their situation.
  2. Assess needs and resolve issues while making deliveries.
  3. Report all pertinent information to supervisor.
• Maintain the condition of MANNA vehicles.
  1. Record information on driver vehicle logs twice daily.
  2. Inform supervisor about any current or upcoming required maintenance of truck and refrigeration unit.
  3. Keep cab and refrigeration unit clean.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Current driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to drive for long periods of time (6-10 hours)
• Must be able to read fine print on paper, computer, and smartphone screen.
• Must able to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs, and walk to and from client homes.

MANNA requires employees and volunteers to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. All offers of employment at MANNA are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check and drug screen. Background checks and drug tests will be conducted on all final candidates.

SALARY: $20 an hour
