Job Summary: This position will oversee production and is responsible for labor, productivity, quality, controls and safety during the assigned shift.

Required Education and Experience:

• Excellent English Communication Skills (oral and written)
• Advance knowledge in computer software for windows
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
• University in Engineering or Business Degree and/or Combination of Diploma with minimum 5 years of Management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills
• Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
• Knowledge of automotive industry processes and operations
• Experienced working in non-unionized environment

Essential Functions:

• Supervise, train, and develop team members on the shift
• Monitor plant operations
• Coordinate shift meetings to insure proper operations are maintained for quality, safety, production and delivery
• Ensure labor costs are kept within budget
• Achieve goals and objectives that are set out each year by the Assistant General Manager
• Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives on all aspects of the job
• Compliance with Corporate policies and procedures
• Provide timely reporting of key performance indicators to Management team
• Improve relations between all departments
• Improve all aspects of the MMOG with the Materials Group
• Contribute to all 8D processes to improve and uphold Quality ratings - Drive Quality into the part
• Maintain plant operational safety with zero lost time or recordable injuries.
• Involved with all new project launch thru lessons learned
• Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook

Work Environment:

• 80% plant floor 20% office

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
