Medical Records Clerk

Lakeshore Talent is working alongside a reputable hospital system in downtown Chicago, IL and is looking for a great candidate to fill an open position as a Medical Records Clerk. This is a great opportunity for candidates with a passion for healthcare to get their foot in the door with an amazing healthcare company!

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months to start, with potential to move permanent!

PAY: $19/hour

SHIFT: Monday-Friday;8:00 am - 4:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

An employee in this position may be called upon to perform any/all of the following duties as well as additional related tasks.

• Upload and scan documents into EPIC
• Contact patients in regards to their medical records
• Take incoming calls from patients to obtain medical information
• Gather patient demographic information
• Compile, process, and maintain medical records
• Scanning, Data Entry, and HIPAA compliance
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

WHAT YOU BRING:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous EPIC EMR experience
• 2-3 years customer service or medical office experience required
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
• Candidates should be professional, reliable and willing to work

Because this position is in a healthcare setting, immunization records must be up-to-date (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu, Covid-19).
