DESCRIPTION:
The Warehouse/Distribution Operator will support the order processing function (i.e., picking, packing, shipping, etc.). Receive and put away manufactured products or raw materials. This includes unloading trucks, verifying quantities received and entering receipt into a WMS (warehouse management system). Pick and pack customer orders utilizing the warehouse computerized management system. Other customary warehouse functions (e.g., cycle counting, processing material for destruction, etc.). Comply with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA, FDA, DEA etc.). General cleaning of work area daily. It is critical to be on time and available for each scheduled shift. Type of Safety Protection Worn:
steel toe, cut resistant gloves and currently a face mask due to COVID-19 protocols
Must have a pair of steel toe boots prior to starting assignment and wear daily on assignment
Responsibilities:
# 1 Pick and pack customer orders. This includes interaction with the warehouse management system via a hand held RF device. Material is picked by using RF device to scan product license plate. Validated packing requirements must be followed precisely. When pick/pack function is complete, order is weight checked to verify accuracy. Orders are consolidated by license plate to ship units. Packing list and ship label are printed and included with shipment.
# 2 Responsible for complying with FDA, TSA and OSHA requirements.
# 3 Responsible for ensuring that all training identified in his/her individual training plan (ITP) is current and complete
#4 Constantly look for improvements in productivity, compliance, and data accuracy.
SHIFT:
Shift will rotate Monday Friday with start times of 630 AM and 830 AM
Shifts rotate every other week between
630 am to 3:15 pm and 8:30 am to 5:15 pm
Overtime is required and will run 1 to 2 hours.
EXPERIENCE:
3+ Years of experience in a warehouse. Experience with an RF scan gun or SAP. Forklift experience.
Other requirements include:
Experience working with an electronic warehouse management system such as SAP, Exacta Worldlink and RF scanners.
Demonstrated accuracy and attention to details
Must be willing to work overtime with little notice
Must be reliable and have a good work attendance history
Preferences / nice to haves :
Must have experience in International picking, packing, labeling and shipping policies and procedures.
Experience with pharmaceutical destruction process.
Must be flexible and willing to be cross-trained to perform multiple assignments
Demonstrated computer skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Demonstrated a high productivity rate in previous assignments
Must be able to complete basic math, such as adding and subtracting, and multiplying and dividing.
Counting large number of items and have an accurate count
Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
Experience operating pallet jacks and Stand up Powered Industrial Trucks.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
