Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician with Hydraulic Lift Experience in Winchester, KY! The Diesel Fleet Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium-heavy duty diesel fleet vehicles. The technician will conduct PMs and minor repairs on Aerial lift bucket trucks (similar to Altec or larger). Experience with small engine diesels, small transportation generators, and hydraulics is required. Preferred experience with trenching equipment, cranes, bucket trucks or forklifts is desired. Must have DOT inspection experience. Computer competency is needed as well to manage part purchasing and work orders. At least 2 ASEs and a Class B CDL is preferred.
Shift: 1ST SHIFT!!! Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM
Compensation: Competitive negotiable hourly pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! SIGN-ON BONUS MAY BE INCLUDED!

What the Diesel Equipment Mechanic/Technician role looks like:
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation
What our ideal candidate looks like: At least 3 years’ experience as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
- Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills
- Must have own tools
- Must have valid driver's license
