Job Description

Essential Duties: To track and monitor the finances of our growing company.   

  • Review financial transactions for accuracy 

  • Input transactions into the correct ledger 

  • Reconcile bank and other accounts 

  • Pay vendors as they come due 

  • Complete required tax forms 

  • Make deposits and record all cash receipts 

  • Work with staff accountants as needed 

  • Manage the office petty cash fund 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Exceptional customer service 

  • Strong mathematical skills 

  • Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping 

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks a plus 

  • Able to plan, schedule, and organize tasks related to the job to achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers 

  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficient 

  • Can type 50+ WPM (words per minute) 

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service 

  • Able to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, civility, and a high degree of ethics in all job-related actions 

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices 

  • Punctual with strong attendance history
