CFC has a need for a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Accounting Operations team. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work at our headquarters office in Sterling, VA, as well as optional remote workdays. The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis performs a variety of financial activities including leading the processes of budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and managing the annual patronage capital process.

As a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will:
• Lead the annual budget planning process from kick off to board approval, which includes owning the planning calendar, coordinating cross-functionally to communicate timelines and expectations, consolidating and summarizing the budget, and preparing presentations for executive approval. 
• Track, analyze, and report on budget to actual variances.  
• Manage the monthly updates and maintenance of the multi-year financial forecast models.
• Prepare monthly analysis of changes in forecast period-over-period and back testing the forecast model.
• Provide management with timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to monitor financial results and enable strategic decision-making.
• Lead the complex annual return of capital to member owners (Patronage Capital), which includes preparing the Patronage Capital distribution reporting for presentation and approval of the distributions for CFC Board of Directors, management of member records, coordinating and testing of various interfaces with the system, participating in frequent discussions with other groups, and creating complex models to ensure that amounts returned are accurate and tie out to the financial statements.
• Update forecasting, planning, and patronage capital systems/tools including defining requirements, and identifying and implementing solutions. 

To be successful, you will need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5 years of varied, progressive accounting experience, including financial analysis and financial reporting.
• Expert ability to independently gather, consolidate and analyze complex data.
• Expert ability to present and explain the data in concise manner to various levels of management including executives.
• Advanced analytical capabilities with quantitative focus. 
• Understanding of key accounting concepts. 
• Expert Excel skills.
• Strong PowerPoint skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple competing tasks under tight deadlines.
•  Knowledge of Oracle Fusion software and database skills desired.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Strong critical thinking skills in the application of process improvements and efficiency gains.
