Key Responsibilities

Prepare drawings using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of engineers, designers and technicians
Create structural models and drawings in MicroStation from engineering sketches and verbal description
Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

CAD-related AS Degree (preferred), or equivalent work experience as structural CAD Technician (building information modeling)
Proficiency with MicroStation or OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office
Ability to think creatively and visualize in 3D
Ability to work in a team environment or independently as necessary for a wide variety of projects
Possess analytical and organizational skills to support multiple projects at a time
Ability to learn, listen, adapt, and take ownership of work
Attention to detail, self-directed learning, and meeting deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate work with other disciplines and production staff
