Event Coordinator

Barton & Gray Mariners Club has revolutionized yachting with a fleet of 85+ Hinckley and custom vessels serving a private membership in harbors along the East Coast and Great Lakes.
We are seeking an Event Coordinator to work directly with the Business Development Team and directly under the Event Manager on a wide range of projects related to event planning and operations to add to the success of unparalleled events for Club members and prospects. The ideal candidate has a background in hospitality, executing, and hindsighting event successes and is passionate about delivering exemplary service.
Qualifications:
1-3 years previous event planning experience in upscale/high end hospitality environment or with luxury brands
Ability to write business correspondences, adopt and utilize functional data trackers
Must be adaptable to frequently changing environment and ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
Articulate professional communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse occupational groups
Strong time management and ability to meet multiple deadlines while managing competing priorities
Excellent organizations and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and contribute in a team environment
Valid, unencumbered driver’s license and willingness/ability to drive
Must be able to work in a variety of hours and in a variety of conditions in order to accommodate events
Must be able to lift 30lbs, bend stoop and perform other physical exertion
Passion for yachting, luxury and hospitality
Responsibilities:
Serves as a point of contact for all Barton & Gray Mariners Club events
Assists with planning, asset scheduling, logistical detailing, transportation, accommodations, invitation creation, RSVPs, registration, venue or vendor contracts, staffing and event recaps.
Assist with event content for company social media and website
Swag ordering, inventory tracking and shipping
Shipping management and maintenance of the ‘brand event kit’
Provides clear direction to the team involving pre-event preparation, staff assignments, pre-event meetings, event timeline, special requests and event review in hindsight.
Enlist in the USCG Drug Consortium
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of times in varying climates
Must be able to lift and carry 30lbs, bend and stoop
Must be able to look at screen for long periods of time
