Senior Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist

Alerion Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable and Collection Specialist located in Clearwater, Florida.

As a Senior Accounts Receivable and Collection Specialist, you will oversee a portfolio of clients for a professional services organization. You will work in-person, 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. You will earn an annual salary of $50-$70K, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and investigate outstanding balances and proactively initiate collection efforts.
• Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and assist with resolving any billing issues or discrepancies.
• Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks) to input and maintain accurate financial data.
• Review customer payment trends and identify potential collection issues to management in advance.
• Collaborate with the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of accounts receivable information including aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure adherence to company credit policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and collection management.
• Proven experience dealing with high volume clients with seven figure balances.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills for interacting with customers regarding payment matters.
• Proven ability to analyze financial data and generate reports.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
