POSITION

Current HR is seeking a full-time HR Expert to provide support for core HR functions to Current HR’s clients. This includes assisting with the maintenance of the HRIS system, assisting with administering human resource policies and procedures, fielding employee questions, coordinating and conducting new hire orientations, providing benefit support, and assisting with the documentation of HR processes and procedures. In this role, the HR Expert will frequently field questions from employees regarding policies, benefits, onboarding, etc. and will work closely with client contacts to provide high-quality HR support and customer service.

This position is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction and will work directly with clients to assist with their HR needs. The HR Expert maintains ongoing relationships with client contacts and acts as a point of contact for HR services. This individual will work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure quality customer service and support.

This role requires business acumen, strategic thinking, change management, and strong attention to detail and analytical skills. A successful HR Expert also needs to be a great communicator and collaborator and be adept at building relationships.

This position is part of a collaborative team of HR professionals.

WORK TYPE

This is a hybrid position based in Fort Wright, KY. For purposes of team member interactions, the selected individual will be expected to report onsite to our Fort Wright office on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week but can work the remaining scheduled days remotely.

JOB DUTIES

  • Service clients primarily remotely and occasionally in-person to provide consultative guidance to ensure appropriate resolution of client issues. 
  • Provide consultative guidance to clients in all functional areas of HR, including but not limited to performance management, employee leave of absences, handbook policies, employee engagement, and culture enhancement.
  • Communicate and interpret HR policies and procedures while providing remedies for any employee relations issue that may arise.
  • Promote high-quality customer service to clients.
  • Work cooperatively with all levels of staff and prioritize, coordinate, and complete assignments and projects in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibility.
  • Coordinate the new hire process by scheduling pre-employment screenings and assisting throughout the new hire experience.
  • Conduct new hire orientations.
  • Manage medical leave of absence cases.
  • Manage employee benefits, including processing qualifying events and answering employee questions.
  • Assist with the maintenance of I-9 compliance.
  • Assist with the development of items for clients such as Employee Handbooks, job descriptions, and Employee Satisfaction Surveys.
  • Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and managers of clients.
  • Respond to emails and phone calls from employees regarding HR-related items.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assist with the development and presentation of training sessions for clients on HR topics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, law, or related field. Consideration may be given to a candidate with experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience in human resources preferred.
  • Prior PEO experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with PrismHR HRIS preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have advanced attention to detail skills.
  • Must have a high level of competence in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Experience with basic office equipment such as computers, printers, and fax machines.
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, well-organized, and willing to learn new skills.
  • Must adhere to confidentiality policy.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and be willing to submit to a criminal background check.

COMPENSATION

In the spirit of pay transparency, we can share that the pay range for this position is $50,000-$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
