Assistant Superintendent

Local Commercial Contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team. The Assistant Superintendent position works under a Field Superintend to provide overall field management and administration to field employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners with an emphasis on the following:

Responsibilities:

• Assist in all aspects of the project from planning to implementation to ensure the highest quality, appropriate personnel, budget, and schedule are met.

• Monitor resources for assigned projects

• Supervise field employees, subcontractors, and all construction equipment on assigned project(s).

• Review drawings and specifications routinely

• Inspect material from suppliers to ensure they meet the specifications

• Review subcontractor work quality

• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications

• Assists with the implementation and interpretation of safety programs.

• Schedules materials and suppliers.

Qualifications:

• Construction field experience preferred

• Ability to read construction drawings preferred

• Strong leadership qualities

• Deadline and detail-oriented

• Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test

• Will need 10 or 30 hour OSHA, First Aid, and CPR certifications. We will provide this training.
