The Assistant Teacher/Aide will assist Teacher with afternoon and closing activities until pick up time by caretakers. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. S/he will develop and maintain positive relationships with the children and their parents. Will exhibit patient, caring, pleasant demeanor.
Duties
- Actively engage in afternoon activities with children.
- Help ensure a smooth transition from school back to the caretaker.
- May clean classroom equipment, sanitize toys, and prepare classroom for the next day's activities.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent and some childcare experience.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral communication skills.
- Patient, pleasant, caring demeanor.
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening.
