Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. • The location is in Fairbanks, AK
• The working schedule for this role is 3 12 hour mid shifts; 11a-11p, 12p-12a, or 2p-2a
• The duration is as a contactor for 16 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Shift and Time: mids/eveinings, 12 hrs
• Weekend Rotation: 3 weekends per 4 week schedule period
• On-call Requirements: weekends and holidays as needed
• Holidays Requirements: as needed- may be scheduled up to every holiday
• Floating Requirements: as needed
• The pay: $83.06 Hourly ($60.00 Taxable, $23.06 Stipend) = $2,990.00 Weekly = $11,960.00 Monthly Gross
• Free housing available. Only 1 bedroom units available. No pet units available

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
• Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
• Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
• Recording patient vital signs and medical information
• Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests
• Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
• Administering non-intravenous medications
• Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members
• Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or master degree in nursing
  
• Experience Required: 3+ years of experience as ER RN
  
• Experience Preferred: 5+ years of ER RN experience. Prefer level 1 or 2 trauma center experience as staff
• License Required: AK license- must be active or in progress at time of submittal
• Certificates Required: ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC required. ENPC preferred
• Time off for major holidays cannot be accommodated; Memorial Day, Labor Day, and 4th of July, day before and after, summer solstice (June 21st 2024),Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, NYD Maximum of 14 days off can be requested including 4 weekend days
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
• Basic computer skills
