Technical Support Engineer, Protective Coatings (5+ yrs exp. req.) Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Technical Support Engineer in the application of Protective Coatings to add to their team in Medford, NY. In this crucial advisory role, you will be responsible for providing technical application support, troubleshooting, and product training to a global network of managers, distributors, and end users. This position will require occasional travel to provide in-field support, but will be primarily based in Medford, NY. Ideal candidates will have a degree in an engineering discipline with deep knowledge of protective coatings, such as polymers, epoxies, acrylics and urethanes, and in their application to substrates to repair and prevent corrosion. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your fundamental knowledge and experience in the coatings industry to provide corrosion and maintenance solutions to a wide range of industries.

Technical Support Engineer, Protective Coatings (5+ yrs exp. req.) Responsibilities

• Deliver technical support for industrial coatings products
• Identify and resolve issues with product applications
• Respond to technical inquiries from sales team and distributors
• Collaborate with customers to assess their requirements and provide tailored solutions
• Engage and guide customers through the technical aspects of products
• Conduct product training sessions and meetings

Technical Support Engineer, Protective Coatings (5+ yrs exp. req.) Qualifications

• 5+ years field engineering and/or technical support experience required
• Protective coatings (polymers, epoxies, acrylics and urethanes) experience required
• Corrosion control experience required
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 6-10 trips per year
