POSITION SUMMARY

QUALIFICATIONS
The Data Analyst will aggregate data across funder requirements in addition to providing program data to the program unit. The Data Analyst will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:
§ A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, statistics, program evaluation, information systems, public policy, or equivalent fields with an emphasis on applied research design and quantitative statistical analysis
§ A Master’s Degree in the above fields is preferred but not required
§ Create early childhood reports and provide relevant and timely data to the Executive Director’s office, CEO, principals, teachers and consultants
§ Work under the direction of the Executive Director
§ Support Management in the day to day maintenance of multiple data systems, as well as perform ongoing required changes and updates
§ Work intimately with Management to identify and develop reports needed to monitor program compliance with city, state, and federal requirements
§ Conducts data entry, importing, cleaning, validating, and reporting student and program data into and from DASL, Scantron, NWEA, Study Island and other various databases
§ Run routine reports in the various databases for programmatic compliance and monitoring
§ Compile information from multiple databases to create comprehensive reports to EDS upper management, networks, and other governmental agencies
§ Frequently work with data to reconcile multiple data sets from different sources.
§ Compile information for data backloads to various data systems in a timely streamlined manner
§ Provide data cleaning, aggregation, and analysis as needed for EDS and 3rd party by network, site, and student level data
§ Maintain a working knowledge of all data elements needed for programmatic compliance and an associated data dictionary
- This position will require Central Ohio residency within six months from acceptance.
- FBI/BCII background check which meets Ohio Revised Code § 3319.39 et seq
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Experience in program evaluation and quantitative statistical analysis preferred
• Working knowledge of data cleaning, aggregation and analysis required preferred
• Proficiency in utilizing advanced MS Excel and writing SAS Code to manipulate data and conduct advanced statistical analysis among multiple large scale databases preferred
• Knowledge of designing databases
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced MS Excel skills, SAS preferred
• Ability to identify valid, meaningful evaluation criteria and understanding of research methodology
• Knowledge of Early Childhood education, urban education systems, and ISBE initiatives a plus
• Ability to conduct multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to communicate findings, both written and orally to a broad range of audiences including policy makers, academics, district leadership, and staff
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills essential
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/designee
Working Conditions may include:
- Occasional interaction with unruly people.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull various items up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
- Frequent requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms.
- Travels to meetings when asked.
