Maintenance Tech

We are seeking a reliable, skilled maintenance technician to perform essential upkeep tasks and perform routine maintenance inspections of vacation rental condos and homes. Responsibilities will include a wide variety of activities such as repairs and inspections to ensure that the properties are both tidy and functional. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge. ou may be required to use stairs and ladders. Some after-hours calls may be required.

Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, etc. Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Maintain grounds, including yard upkeep, trimming, edging, pool maintenance, collecting trash, etc.
• Perform necessary repairs/replacements of faucets, garbage disposal, etc. Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, changing AC filters, and unclogging drains
• Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems such as TVs and cable boxes and program remotes.
• Test the functionality of the safety systems
• Collaborate with a team of workers and other professionals via email, text, and calls throughout the day.
• Report to the manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress.
• Inspect condos and houses to identify any outstanding or potential problems including safety hazards, maintenance issues, cleaning issues, and/or guest issues. Interior and exterior assessments of each property are required.
• Complete inspection reports and records for each property

Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid drivers license and good driving record
• Smartphone with camera
• Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position with a basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools
• Must have your own basic tools
• Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• General passion for creative problem-solving
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work with limited supervision
• Must be able to effectively handle guest complaints with a positive attitude
• General ability to effectively work with the public
• Must maintain a professional appearance
• Must be capable of moving furniture, appliances, and building materials.
• Must be able to lift loads of up to 50lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
