Role Summary: Verano seeks a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) who will not only manage our Northern Virginia dispensary operations but also engage actively with the local community and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional care. This role requires a balance of regulatory compliance, operational management, and community leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the dispensing area's operations, ensuring compliance with both regulatory and company policies.
  • Foster a customer-focused environment, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality service that meets the specific needs of our patients.
  • Train and lead a team of pharmacy technicians and other staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strict control over inventory, ensuring security measures are in place and adhered to for all cannabis products.
  • Provide necessary pharmaceutical reference materials and ensure the accuracy and safety of cannabis dispensing.
  • Ensure visible posting of the facility’s permits, pharmacist licenses, and product pricing to foster transparency and trust.
  • Conduct and oversee regular inventories and ensure meticulous record-keeping.
  • Engage with the local community through educational and outreach programs, enhancing the understanding and acceptance of cannabis-based treatments.
  • Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community leaders to promote wellness and support community health initiatives.
  • Leverage understanding of the Virginia market to better serve and expand the patient base, emphasizing our commitment to local economic and community development.

Additional Responsibilities for Retail Management:

  • Manage daily store operations and ensure excellence in store presentation and functionality.
  • Develop marketing strategies and promotional events to increase brand awareness and customer engagement within the community.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to propose strategic adjustments.
  • Participate in local events and associations to reinforce the brand’s presence and commitment to community values.

Requirements:

  • Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Virginia.
  • Proven experience in pharmacy management, with a preference for experience in cannabis dispensing.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships with community members and stakeholders.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position requiring a minimum of 35 hours per week, with flexibility needed for weekends, holidays, and community events.
  • Exclusive service as PIC, adhering to state regulations regarding employment at cannabis facilities.
