Job Summary

We are seeking a Bi-Lingual (Spanish & English) college student who is willing to work a flexible hourly role during normal production hours. The Summer Internship will help in completing various duties/tasks for the Production and Human Resources Departments. This is a great opportunity for a soon to be graduating student to build their resume, advance their knowledge of the manufacturing world, and earn some extra money for the upcoming school year.

The Production Department duties will consist of hands-on learning of each hourly operator position within the plant. In correlation with hands on learning you will be required to read, edit, and produce SOPs for each process. Learning the process from start to finish will lead to conducting process audits and shadowing each Manager of the production team. Lean Manufacturing practices will be encouraged, and you fill identify a continuous improvement project of your choosing to execute.

The Human Resources duties include assisting HR team with recruiting efforts, arranging interviews for potential employees, and conducting new hire orientations. Other duties include, facilitating the employee onboarding process; assist with various assignments and ultimately serve as the point person for all employee questions.

Responsibilities

• Learn all hourly roles within operations
• Update/audit SOP's
• Continuous improvement project
• Communicate with department managers to address specific recruiting needs
• Assisting with the recruitment and interview processes
• Conduct new employee orientations and coordinate the new employee hiring processes

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish, both written and spoken
• Current student (Undergrad or Graduate) majoring in Human Resources, Business, Engineering, or any Agriculturally based degrees.

• Ability to manage confidential information
• Must be highly organized, able to follow through, and work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
