Job Description

The Associate Director of Emergency Residence and Welcome Center will collaborate closely with the Director of Program Operations to ensure operational efficiency and programmatic quality of Bridges Emergency Residence, and Welcome Center programs. The Associate Director plays a key and vital role toward realizing the vision of delivering high quality, innovative residential services for youth and engaging in replicable best practices. In this role, you will plan, direct, and monitor the design and implementation of services in our Welcome Center, and Emergency Residence Programs to ensure positive outcomes and will be expected to promote residential program development and growth to address the unmet needs of youth. As a member of the program leadership team, you will ensure the coordination and integration of Bridge’s residential services into the broader mission of the organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all admissions and discharges to the respective program

Engage young people through strengths-based and harm reduction approaches.

Utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) to engage youth around behavioral health concerns and or problematic behavior.

Develop and maintain client outcome-oriented evaluation tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in program management and staff supervision

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in social work, or related field preferred

Experience managing staff in a Human Service setting, preferably with a focus on youth.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Demonstrated cultural competence and commitment to working with diverse populations.
