Design Intern
- $20 to $25 Hourly
- Full-Time
Job Description: Assists with all aspects of design.
Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain materials library
• Meet with furniture and material representatives to broaden knowledge and keep up with current trends
• Assist design team with coordinating delivery and storage of FF&E
• Use AutoCAD to draft elevations, plans, sections of designs
• Build SketchUp models to help envision proposed design
• Collaborate with Design, Construction and Development teams as well as Asset Managers on multiple projects at a time
• Assist design team in specifying furniture, artwork, and accessories
• Oversee furniture deliveries and furniture installations
• Assist Staging Coordinator in keeping model apartments up to standard when needed

• Confidence and leadership with team members, while also personable with vendors
• Proficiency for organization and an acute attention to detail to get the job completed perfectly. This IS the position
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Follow directions and execute them in a clear, precise manner
• Successfully manage multiple projects and timelines
• Communicate clearly and calmly even in emotional, high-pressured, schedule-driven situations
• Excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Photoshop and AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel
• A valid driver's license and the daily use of your own vehicle are necessary
• Available for tasks that may require additional hours extending beyond typical workday
• Must be self-motivated & punctual, and present one-self as if “your name was on the door”
