Description
Smoky Mountain Decks is seeking a driven and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. We are a respected leader in residential deck construction, dedicated to quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of residential deck projects, from initial client meetings to final inspections and handover.
Responsibilities
• Receive project and crew assignments from the operations manager.
• Oversee vendor selection and ensure labor contracts are approved.
• Schedule and coordinate porta-john and dumpster services.
• Facilitate on-site kickoff meetings, ensuring a smooth transition to the vendor.
• Perform daily site visits, documenting progress and potential issues on JobTread, keeping the client informed.
• Manage change orders by uploading details and consulting the operations manager.
Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in residential construction, preferably with a focus on decks, preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks with accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
