Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Room Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of emergency room experience, proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy, and experience in conscious sedation. As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our fast-paced emergency department.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity of condition.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures as directed by the healthcare team.
• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, escalating concerns as necessary.
• Assist with conscious sedation procedures and ensure patient safety throughout.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current RN license in [State].
• Minimum of two years of emergency room nursing experience.
• Proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy.
• Experience in conscious sedation preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
