Job Description

Wilson's Turf is a family owned sod farm in central ohio. We are currently seeking a mechanic to help maintain our fleet. This candidate would diagnose and repair various types of machinery and equipment, many unique to the sod industry. You'll work on semi trucks, trailers, loaders, excavators, forklifts, mowers, tractors, and much more! Starting pay may increase depending on experience.

Required skills/abilities

Familiar with truck air brakes. mounting and dismounting truck tires
familiar with hydraulic systems and components.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
Welding and fabricating skills is a plus.
On the job training available for motivated applicants.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical school or training certificates preferred.
At least 1 year of experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
