Job Description

The City of Bowie is seeking applicants for the position of Laborer in the Stormwater Management Division. Duties include stormwater maintenance, mowing grass, picking up litter, and assisting the Utilities Division crews when needed. Must have ability to understand and follow directions and the ability to perform heavy manual labor.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

•          High School diploma or equivalent

•          One year of experience performing routine maintenance, landscape, repair, and/or construction and equipment operation work or similar tasks.

•          Ability to work with other crewmembers to safely complete all work assignments.

•          Must have physical stamina to regularly complete tasks such as: lifting and carrying approximately 50 pounds, bending, stooping, climbing in and around construction equipment.

 

SALARY: $17.96 PER HOUR
