Assistant Operations Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. The Assistant Operations Manager will work closely with the owner to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our business. This is a key role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Day-to-Day Operations: Help the Owner-Operations Manager with the daily operations of the delivery service, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

- Team Management: Lead, manage, and develop a team of dispatchers, delivery associates, and support staff while fostering a positive work environment that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and employee development. Also conducts regular performance reviews and provides constructive feedback.

- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze operational performance, implementing improvements as needed.

- Training Programs: Coordinate and monitor training programs for staff, focusing on safety, customer service, and operational procedures.

- Fleet Management: Oversee vehicle maintenance and readiness, ensuring all vehicles are safe and operational.

Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any internal conflicts or issues that arise within the team ensuring alignment and communication to the Owner for tracking. Lead initiatives for process improvement, technological upgrades, and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Licensing: Must process a valid Driver's license and maintain it in good standing.

- Proven experience with at least four (4) years in operations management or a similar role. An additional four (4) years demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills being able to work collaboratively as a part of a team

- Other: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. at least 21 years of age, and demonstrate knowledge in fleet vehicle maintenance and repair.
