Job Description

Pennybyrn has an opportunity for a Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our innovative, inclusive, and compassionate life-enriching community! This position is full-time Monday thru Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, with occasional 7:00 am shift starts on Thursdays.

This position functions as a medical office assistant and is responsible for clinic services provided to the Senior Adults living independently on campus. The position provides administrative support to clinic staff and providers, ensuring efficient operation of the clinic, patient care management, organization, and communication. Also assists with on-campus home care and scheduling, and employee health screenings and vaccinations.

Tasks include customer service for clinic front desk, collaboration with clinic staff and providers, medical education for Senior Adults, maintain medical records, schedule appointments, obtain samples for labs, administer medications, maintain inventory, clean exam rooms, perform dressing changes, assist with procedures, and other duties as assigned.

Preferred candidates will be certified as a Nurse Assistant and Medical Assistant, with experience working in a medical office. Candidates must enjoy working with the senior population, be dependable and trustworthy, caring and courteous, and strive for excellence in their work performance every day.
