Managing Director, Generative AI

We are looking for a Managing Director to join our team to bolster and create Lovelytics in the Gen AI market. Reporting directly to our Head of Technical Capabilities, you will be the face of AI at Lovelytics, building the foundations for the practice by developing our approach to delivering Gen AI projects, creating external facing content to promote our offerings, leading initial engagements, and supporting the growth of existing accounts where AI can be sold.

Role Location: Open to remote candidates in the US in the following states:  MD, DC, CA, IL, IA, IN, MA, ME, NC, TX, TN, GA, CO, NY, NJ, VA, FL, PA, OH, OR with preference for candidates in EST. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Apply technical expertise to design and implement AI/ML solutions across all verticals
• Create and sell a vision of the practice that allows Lovelytics to stay ahead of the market as it relates to AI. Including strategically adding capabilities to the team and advising on M&A where needed
• Lead a team of senior managers and technical directors within the practice to ensure productivity, employee satisfaction, and professional growth.
• Work hand-in-hand with other Managing Directors and the Head of Capabilities to align the technical development of IP with what can be sold in the market. 
• Manage the utilization and revenue of this capability area, extending and expanding opportunities inside of existing accounts, and managing initiatives related to product and solution development. 
• “Sharpen the saw” by continuing to build your knowledge of modern analytics technologies, using your expertise to provide thought leadership and best practices to the team and overall organization.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, understanding their unique challenges, goals, and opportunities related to ML and AI
• Act as the leader and escalation point for clients and stakeholders across the team and a portfolio of engagements
• Be responsible for identifying hiring needs, managing P&L, and the overall capability team’s performance
• Present at conferences, attend events, and play the role of evangelist of our AI practice
• Work with agility and wear many hats in a scrappy, entrepreneurial environment

Our Ideal Candidate's Skills and Experiences:

• 10+ years of client-facing experience, with a focus on hands-on data and analytics solutions a must.
• 5+ years of leadership in a consulting organization, adept at growing and leading diverse teams with empathy and rigor
• Passion for and advanced understanding of emerging Gen AI technologies and frameworks, if you have a personal brand in this space- that's a plus!
• Proficient with Azure, AWS, and deep expertise in Databricks
• Proven track record in managing team KPIs: Utilization, Revenue, and Gross Margin
• Dedicated to people leadership, career development, and coaching
• Strong project management abilities, capable of overseeing highly strategic projects
• Exceptional business acumen, communication, and presentation skills with direct experience engaging senior stakeholders
• Ability to travel 20-50%
