IT Support Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

American IT Solutions is looking for an Onsite IT Support Specialist. This person will support the user’s computer equipment remotely and in person if needed. OSS support will be mainly focused on topics such as Microsoft application support, Telephony, Video Conference Support, Break/Fix on Laptops, Desktops and Tablets. Remote Monitoring and Management using Kaseya platform.

Job Responsibilities:

• Image/ Reimage and deploy laptop-desktops.
• Provide support to our clients on topics such as Networking, PC and Mobile Device, Microsoft Applications, QuickBooks, and other small business software applications
• Assist with Service Calls: both via remote support and on-site.
• Resolve technical problems and answers queries by telephone or self-service ticket in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.
• Diagnose, identify, isolate, and analyze problems utilizing analytical thinking and strategies
• Maintain and update records utilizing our internal ticketing systems and asset database.
• Alert management to recurring problems and patterns of problems.
• Configuring network devices, firewall and server management

Specific Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 & OS X Desktop Operating Systems.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to lift and carry computer components up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all organization levels and with outside vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of inventory process controls.
• Strong verbal and written communication including presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities at the same time.
• Ability to prioritize and set goals to achieve company objectives.
• Strong planning skills including but not limited to projects, staffing and work processes.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and instruct others.
• Must have a dependable vehicle for servicing our clients within our service area. (Approximately 50-mile radius of Hamden CT)
• High school or GED is a Must.

A+ Certification and/or Network+ Certification is preferred.

Experience using monitoring and management platform, such as Continuum/ConnectWise/Kaseya/ServiceNow is a plus!

Experience supporting Ring Central is a plus!

Lenovo Warranty repair experience is a plus!
