The interiors team specializes in collaborating with clients to develop innovative, best in class designs that inspire and meet our client’s needs. This positions project involvement may include design research, finish material selection/specification, furniture selection/specification, developing design concepts from concept to construction document, preparing full color design renderings and presentations using Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, BIM360, and Enscape, as well as, construction administration including but not limited to responding to RFI’s, preparing and issuing Proposal Requests and ASI’s, shop drawing review, and site visits as required. Most project work is very technical and detail oriented in nature. Open to potential travel depending on team or client’s needs.

The primary responsibilities will include the following:
  • Conceptualize and draw design designs with an understanding of clients desired outcome.
  • Create prototypes and monitor project progress.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, designers, engineers, and contractors to achieve deliverables according to set deadlines.
  • Investigate and follow changes in the industry, as well as best practices.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Professional Skills/Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture from accredited institution
  • 3+ years professional experience, preferably in a commercial design firm using Revit/BIM 360
  • Excellent design, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of construction, interior materials, details, methods and standard building codes.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Microsoft (Office, Outlook, Excel, Word) and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with a strong work ethic, with the ability to juggle multiple projects deadlines.
  • CIDQ preferred.
  • Experience in all phases of design from Pre-development/Concept Design through Construction Administration required.
  • Experience in Design concepts, finish selections, renderings/fly-through, interior elevations, documentation (specifications, interiors sheets including construction detailing).
  • The ideal candidate has previous experience in Senior Living, and Multi-Family. Hospitality (both hotel & Food & Beverage, Quick Service) experience required.
  • Multi-Family markets (ground-up and renovation, historic) experience preferred
  • Basic/entry level Project Management skills including project schedules, workload schedules
  • FFE specification and procurement experience.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment with hybrid schedule capability. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This position requires no minimum ability to lift, bend or stand.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary.
Travel
Minimal travel is expected for this position.
