Position : Data Modeler

Location: Reston, VA

Experience: 9+ Years(Hybrid - Once in a month)

Work type: Fulltime(W2) only

PETADATA is currently looking to hire for the position of Data Modeler for one of their clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work with data architects and data analysts to implement data modeling solutions, query, map and document Source to Target Mappings, understand database schemas streamline and support enterprise information management.

• Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.

• Must be able to evaluate existing data systems.

• Work with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.

• Develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.

• Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.

• Implement data strategies and develop physical data models.

• Update and optimizing local and metadata models.

• Work independently and as a part of a team when required to get the results.

• Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.

• Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.

• Should have 9+ years of experience in SQL, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and enterprise Big Data platforms in multi-data-center contexts.

• Experience with physical and relational,dimensional, analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, ETL and data ingestion protocols) data modeling.

• Should be hands-on experience on data analysis and data testing.

• Experience with data modeling tools ERWin (or) ER Studio (or) others.

• Required Experience in metadata management and related tools.

• Data modeling & Database administration experience.

• Strong interpersonal, good analytical skills to exercise creative, and solution-based and abstract thinking. And ability to learn and adapt quickly.

• Experience in team management.

• Excellent Communication, Documentation and Presentation Skills.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
