Job Description

Meeder has been managing short and intermediate-term fixed income public sector portfolios for over 30 years, serving more than 400 public entities across the country. The short term and fixed income portfolios include money market funds, local government investment pools (LGIPS), and customized separately managed account solutions. Our team works with operating funds, bond proceeds, insurance and capital reserves, and other funds to structure portfolios to meet client objectives.

This position will lead the Meeder Public Funds Credit team and serve as a member of the Credit Committee, working closely with others in a dynamic and collaborative work environment. This position requires understanding the fundamental credit analysis of fixed income issuers as well as the analysis of the macroeconomic environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead Meeder Public Funds’ issuer research process and the development of its proprietary analysis
Perform fundamental credit analysis of approved and proposed corporate, municipal, and asset-backed issuers through due diligence
Manage a team of credit analysts, including providing guidance, coaching, and feedback
Manage credit exposure reporting process, across issuers and trading counterparts
Prepare market research, commentary, and other content suitable for distribution to clients

Present and interacting with clients and other stakeholders, as needed, on credit and other economic market topics
Complete ad hoc projects as required

Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field, required
Advanced degree, CFA, or other similar credential preferred
5+ years of experience in investment analysis
Proficiency in, Bloomberg, Morning Star and other research/data compilation tools preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Strong presentation skills to a diversified audience
